Designer Care

Natural sisal rewards thoughtful care with decades of beauty.

• Vacuum regularly using suction only or with the beater bar raised so the brushes barely touch the surface.

• Vacuum from multiple directions to preserve the texture and reduce soil buildup.

• Never drag the rug while furniture is resting on it or pull from the edges.

• Always roll your rug for storage. Never fold natural fiber rugs.

Cleaning Recommendations

Natural sisal should never be saturated with water or liquid cleaning solutions. Avoid steam cleaning, hot water extraction, shampooing, or excessive moisture, which can damage natural fibers.

For spills:

• Blot immediately using a clean, dry, undyed cloth—never rub.

• Carefully lift solid spills with a dull spatula.

• For deeper cleaning, use a dry extraction cleaning system formulated specifically for natural fiber rugs, such as Host® Dry Carpet Cleaning System or Capture® Carpet & Rug Dry Cleaner.

• Always test any cleaning product in an inconspicuous area before use.
